Colberg Architecture partnered with TCS, a premier camera equipment rental house founded in 1978, to design its new offices at Building 77 in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. We led the architecture and design of the new 20,000 square-foot space after a move from Midtown Manhattan. The new space features private executive offices, open-work areas for technical staff, an improved, state-of-the-art warehouse, and a modern camera testing facility. The new office utilizes raw elements and powerful, yet simple materials to provide a backdrop for the daily hustle and bustle of movie producers, directors and technicians to learn about, test, and experience new equipment with the backdrop of the Navy Yard and Manhattan just outside the oversized industrial windows. The project was completed in summer 2022.
