SKATEYOGI, 2022
Brooklyn, New York
1,500 SF
Colberg Architecture partnered with SKATEYOGI, an independent skateboarding school for kids and adults, to design its new, 1,500-square-foot location at 58 North 9th Street in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY. As a nontraditional retail space, SKATEYOGI offers skateboarding lessons, summer camps, and education programs for kids, teens and adults. Colberg Architecture led the architecture and design of SKATEYOGI’s new location, including the overall space design, ramps, halfpipes and other elements, finishes, and exterior terrace, utilizing the company’s existing brand elements and creating the new space from construction to completion. Colberg Architecture collaborated with the renowned skate ramp builder and former pro-skateboarder Pat Smith to create SKATEYOGI’s new ramps and skating elements. The project was completed in summer 2022.
